Highlands Coffee House goes March 12

Celtic and English folk songs will be featured this Saturday

KnackerB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s Yard will be taking the Caleb Pike House, 1589 Millstream Rd., by storm this Saturday for the latest instalment of the Highlands Music Coffee House

KnackerB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s Yard performs primarily traditional Celtic and English folk songs, with instrumentals and ballads dating from the 1600s up to the 1960s.

This six-musician band brings to the stage a tenor banjo, five-string banjo, bodhran, mandolin, steel-string guitar, vocals and an electric bass guitar.

Doors open at 7 p.m., with an open mic, including the musical stylings of Pennybrook band and Anne Waters, kicking off the eveningB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s entertainment.

Admission is $5 and children under the age of 15 are free.
