Hidden gems of city focus of cycle tour

Get on your bike and see Victoria in a different way

The Capital Region is a cycling paradise, but there are still plenty of great places to pedal that are largely unknown to much of the two-wheeled set.

The Greater Victoria Cycling Coalition wants to change that, and has planned the VictoriaB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s Secrets Tour. The 20-kilometre ride will take participants on a route that includes some of the areaB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s hidden jewels.

The event begins at the Centennial Square fountain in Victoria at 10 a.m. this Sunday (Sept. 18) and finishes back there at 2 p.m. There will be a midway break and riders are encouraged to pack a lunch.
