Harbour Air floats plan to fundraise for $500M campaign

The Share the Fare program donates for every passenger that flies on Fridays

Folks flying on Fridays with Harbour Air are part of a huge campaign targeting $500 million for cancer research and care in the province.

As part of the BC Cancer FoundationB次元官网网址檚 fall 2024 Life Beyond Cancer campaign, this initiative serves as one of the key fundraising avenues for Beyond Belief, the FoundationB次元官网网址檚 ambitious multi-year campaign.

B次元官网网址淐ommunity support is essential to driving progress in cancer care, creating new innovations for improved outcomes and hope for families facing cancer.B次元官网网址

As a partner, Harbour Air, North AmericaB次元官网网址檚 largest seaplane airline, is promoting the campaign across terminals and marketing channels along with its Share The Fare program, which donates $1 for every passenger that flies on Fridays.

With Harbour AirB次元官网网址檚 support, the foundation is showcasing what Life Beyond Cancer can look like, sharing the stories of individuals across B.C. who have experienced cancer diagnosis and treatment and are now thriving.

Until Dec. 6, several organizations and companies will match donations dollar-for-dollar. An anonymous family foundation is matching donations of up to $500,000, to accelerate cutting-edge innovation in cancer research and access to world-class care within the province. 

Peninsula Co-op is matching donations up to $100,000 to support the development of the new Victoria Ernie and Yvonne Yakimovich Integrated Care and Research Pavilion set to open in spring 2025. The pavilion will offer essential supportive care programs for Vancouver Island patients and families.
