The Greater Victoria Public Library (GVPL) is calling on authors to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its Emerging Local Authors Collection.

The collection highlights the creativity and innovation of the local literary scene, offering a space where emerging voices can be celebrated and shared.

B次元官网网址淭he Emerging Local Authors Collection has grown into a vibrant showcase of diverse voices and genres, and weB次元官网网址檙e eager to continue the tradition of connecting local authors with readers looking to discover something new and special.B次元官网网址�

Since its inception, the collection has featured more than 1,450 unique titles from more than 1,000 southern Vancouver Island authors and illustrators representing fiction, non-fiction, poetry, childrenB次元官网网址檚 books, cookbooks and graphic novels.

"Whether you're publishing your first book or your tenth, we're here to help you share your work with a broader audience. Books from the 2024 Emerging Local Authors Collection are available at the Central Branch and by ebook.

Now through Jan. 19, 2025, south Island authors and illustrators can submit their published works for consideration.
