One of the hardest things about September can be getting back into a regular school routine.
Here are some tips to help you and your kids ease back into the daily grind.
The week or 10 days before kids go back to school start getting back into a regular routine with bed and wake up times. If your family has fallen out of the regular school day routine, start with a bedtime or wake up time thatB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™s closer to what your current normal is and slowly push it forward to a time more suitable for your September routine.
DonB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™t forget, you can continue to adjust bedtime if you find September mornings to be more of a challenge than anticipated.
The night before the first day of school, let your kids pick out their clothes, pack their backpacks and get lunches ready to go.
With all of the excitement that will build with those tasks, make sure your kids head to bed a little earlier than normal so they will have some time to wind down.
Also, double check to make sure the alarm is set and your phone or camera is charged so you donB´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·™t miss that first day of school picture.
On the first day of school, make sure you give yourself a little extra time. Take pictures and have fun.
