A beloved doughnut shop in Downtown Victoria will soon be closing their doors as they "no longer see a sustainable way to keep going."
On Friday, July 13, Frickin' Delights Donuts post that they will be permanently closing their doors on July 31, saying they have had challenges keeping the store open, and their only other option moving forward would be to take on "considerable" debt.
"Our hearts are heavy in this. We are tired and we didn't want to end... but we can no longer keep going," noted a post they make on Instagram.
The shop started in Alberta in 2013 and later moved to Victoria. They have since garnered over 20,000 followers across their social media accounts.
On Sunday, they noted on Instagram that they will not comment to the media.
"Our hearts and minds are heavy with grief and we welcome you to come in one last time in our final days to enjoy what we do, say some goodbyes, and help us end this," noted a post on Instagram.
The shop will be open everyday until July 31, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
