The Victoria Grandmothers for AfricaB次元官网网址檚 fifth annual bicycle tour saw 23 cyclists raise nearly $50,000.
Since the eventB次元官网网址檚 inception, the group has generated almost $200,00 in support of the Stephen Lewis FoundationB次元官网网址檚 Grandmothers to Grandmothers campaign.
The campaign funds grassroots initiatives that support African grandmothers who are raising their HIV/AIDS-orphaned grandchildren.
The cyclists covered about 280 kilometres, beginning in Campbell River on Sept. 9 and ending in Victoria on Sept. 11.
