In an effort to help lonely Langford seniors feel cherished and remembered this winter, a special holiday campaign has been launched.
'Letters of Love for Seniors' is an initiative led by Clarity Cannabis, which encourages customers to write heartfelt messages of holiday cheer in greeting cards, which will be distributed to local care homes.
Staff at the Langford store, located on 693 Hoffman Ave, say response to the campaign has been enthusiastic, with many customers choosing to write their card before browsing.
"They'll rush straight over and start signing their card," said Shonagh Copp, a staff member at the store.
"I've already written in a few myself," adds her colleague, Roberta Sweline.

The campaign aims to spread a message of kindness and connection throughout the community, especially during a season that can often feel isolating for many.
Other Clarity Cannabis stores across B.C., including two in Victoria B´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·“ 603 Gorge Rd E. and 850 Johnson St. B´ÎÔª¹ÙÍøÍøÖ·“ are also taking part in the campaign.
"Our goal is to brighten the holiday season for seniors in local care homes by delivering thousands of personalized winter holiday cards across B.C.," said a spokesperson in a news release.
Anyone wanting to take part in the holiday campaign must be over the age of 19 to enter the cannabis store.
