Camp Shawnigan revitalization helped by $100K donation from Peninsula Co-op

Peninsula Co-op has donated $100K to help with the $25 million upgrade ongoing at Camp Shawnigan.

The transformation of Easter Seals Camp Shawnigan had received some help from Peninsula Co-op.

On Wednesday, June 19, Peninsula Co-op donated $100,000 to Easter Seals British Columbia & Yukon (BC Lions Society for Children with Disabilities) to help with the ongoing $25 million rebuild.

With the massive upgrade, the camp will be the first one in North America to be open year-round for children and adults with developmental and physical disabilities.

The new retreat destination is purpose-built and multi-functional facility.
