B.C. Transit is rewarding the graduating class of 2018 with special passes that provide two days of free, unlimited travel during June.
GradPASS will be given to students throughout the province, including those in the Sooke School District in an effort to help keep them safe after celebrations that normally accompany this time of year.
Students scratch off their two chosen travel days on the pass, and show the card to their bus driver.
The pass is not transferable.
GradPASS was first introduced in Vancouver in 1988 as part of the CounterAttack program.
The Victoria Regional Transit System introduced the program in 1990.
GradPASS cards will be distributed to local schools in late May.
