My Chosen Cafe and At Your Service Events are partnering for a Halloween-themed fundraiser at the Metchosin Hall, 4401 William Head Rd. Funds from the event will help a Colwood youth with a rare spinal disease. Doors open at 7 p.m. and tickets are $20.

Pets West is holding a Sunday, Oct. 29 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at their Broadmead Village location. The fundraiser for Pacific Animal Therapy Society will feature prizes for the best costume and scariest costume, while Avid Agility will be on hand to put on an agility demonstration and allowing people to try their own dogs on the agility equipment.
